[Wanted] Wanted: Lock for spare wheel.or WHY
Hi. Does anyone have a suitable security device for the Alloy spare on my Puma.
It is fitted with a Nakatanenga Spare wheel carrier so most do not seem to be suitable.
Any thoughts please 1983 Series 3 Pick up in Marine Blue

Thanks fellas, looks as if this is the best course of action.
I particularly like the ones from leeds and will probably go that route. there does not seem to be many alternatives.

I have a circle of 2mm rubber between the metal disc and my wheel so it doesn’t mark the wheel, does make locking a little tight but prevents rattles but more importantly it doesn’t mark my wheel, my OCD couldn’t cope with that!!

Some suggest including Brendan it’s best to put a wheel cover on your spare, I don’t as I would rather show the security I have in place to prevent scumbags from ripping the spare wheel cover off to have a look Thumbs Up 2015 HT XS 90

I modified it with a longer piece of threaded bar to fit wheel carrier. Before I just had it locking spare to wheel holder on the rear door.

The lock sits in the central hub recess of the wheel nicely. The guy who makes them is spot on. Really helpful.

£52 off eBay. Sorry can’t find a direct link on my mobile.

I gave this some thought previously and if you can get some 18-20mm threaded bar and a puck lock it’s not that difficult to diy either drill hole and bolt bar into existing rear wheel carrier or pop a weld on too, then cut off at correct length and shape to fit the lock 🔐 Thumbs Up
