Yesterday saw this Twisted 90 here. I like that red lense as in the picture of this Le Perei SVX style stop/tail lamp with its red lense.
Any sponsor here offering those with the correct connector to install on my SVX (replacing the genuine clear lensed lamp)? If not, where can I buy those best? I have these on my 90 Eric:
Click image to enlarge Don't believe any sponsors do them, you can find them online under Le Perei part number SL9LEDSS12V This is for the red lens version with the Superseal connector (not flyleads). Edit: they are about £27 inc VAT each - don't pay over the top. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Thanks Martin. Will check. The superseal connecter, is that the ones as installed standard on the SVX? So just plug ‘n play on my truck? Asking, because also heard econoseal mentioned here, and I don’t exactly know what is what. And which of those two is then factory used on the SVX style Defenders?

Yes indeed
The SVX used the Superseal version with an adapter loom from the Econoseal used for the standard lamps. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Mud offer them at 33£ before VAT, and their shipping to Switzerland is reasonable too. Not sure if they come with superseal connectors installed. Checking now. Link is below.

No that is the flylead version with an Econoseal fitted to the wires.
The Superseal version has the socket moulded into the rear of the lamp. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Many thanks for that link, also to Martin. Will check their abilities to ship to Switzerland after I get back home.

Very kind offer. But let’s first see if that supplier can ship themselves.
Eric Edit: Just tried to order from my iPhone, but neither my Swiss home address, nor a Belgium address were accepted as shipping address by their website check-out. So sent them a question to find out if they can and want to ship to one of those non-U.K. addresses. Let’s see if they will answer. Suli, if they don’t want to, I may take you up on your offer. They are nice lights, I have had a set of eight on the rear of my 90 for nine years now (replacing the conventional NAS lights I fitted back in 2001) and in my opinion they are much nicer than the other LED NAS lights which with the chrome finish look too "blingy".
Seem to recall that at the time it was actually cheaper to buy them from Bearmach as they did pairs cheaper than any Le Perei supplier could, that said Dun-Bri were also very competitive when I last checked their prices. Being an older vehicle I had to snip the connectors off and replace with bullets. Click image to enlarge ONE LIFE, GET IT! |

Hello Martin, I would like to order a set of these myself for the 110 rebuild. I am not sure I understand what the difference between these two is though - is the only difference you are talking about here the connector on the back? I am going to need a new loom anyway. Cheers, Chris. 2005 Td5 90 XS 1989 V8 110 CSW |

There are two connection versions: flyleads to bare ended wires or a moulded-in Superseal socket on the back.
You can put Econoseal male connectors on the flylead version and then it plugs straight into the Defender loom. Some sellers supply them like this. Otherwise you can do as LR did and use the Superseal version and Econoseal to Superseal Adapter looms. These are however outrageously priced from LR and aftermarket for a pair of connectors and some short cables In Eric’s case his SVX already has the adapter looms so the Superseal version are a straight swap for him. I’ve done a few upgrades with these lamps and I’ve used both versions, although I made my own adapter looms when I used the Superseal version 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
