Steering damper - numpty question
As part of my ongoing jobs new shocks/springs etc I changed the steering damper today.
Firstly the old damper on removal can be compressed but it does not extend back - I assume it is shot to pieces?
Secondly I can find no figures for what torque is required for the bracket end Nyloc nut - anyone any ideas?

You just hold the thread "bolt" with a hex key & then tighten up the nylon with a ring spanner. I can't see that it is a critical torque figure but I like to do things right

TIA
