I have recently fitted one of these to my 2014 2.2 110 van following the good advice offered in another topic on here:
http://www.alivetuning.com/product/defende...l-bar-kit/ Having driven around with it on for a couple of weeks, I thought I ought to post my experiences. It took about 45 minutes to fit, with no need to jack the van up, and if it wasn't for my own upgraded rear mudflaps which have brackets onto the ARB body mounts, it would probably have only taken half an hour. You need to use the lube supplied with the new bushes to help them onto the bar and re-fit the clamps, and take care to get the two big drop link bolts and washers back together in the right order. But that's as difficult as it gets. And what a great difference it's made to the way the van corners. It's still not a go-kart, but I've been approaching familiar bends and slowing down to my usual speed, only to find that I didn't need to any longer. It even makes it feel more planted simply turning into my road. My wife reckons the whole van feels better from the passenger seat too. The steering seems to be more precise as well. I believe that if you're into off-roading, it affects the axle articulation so you probably won't want one, but if, like me, you spend all your time on the tarmac, I reckon it's the best mod I've made to the van apart from the BAS tune. If you can afford one, get yourself an early Christmas present. |

For f*cks sake! When will it end?! You lot cost me a fortune!
How does it handle over speed bumps etc, any better/worse? Same goes for pot holes. I’m after comfort rather than cornering speed. |

It will help with comfort around corners as the vehicle leans less, going fast or slow.
Anti roll bar won’t make much difference over bumps and pot holes though, that’s all down to springs/shocks 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html Instagram - @r22oyp Roy |

Does this restrict articulation when off-road? --
