Your Defender weighs a lot less than your Discovery if you are planning on lifting the entire thing at any point

I've lifted mine (2014 110) many times on a four ton one with no problems.

Thanks guys. I realise Defender much lighter.
Underneath on the D3 are steel chassis rails giving lots of jacking options. Wondering where to lift the Defender. Is she very front heavy? |

My 90 goes on my ramp regularly for cleaning and servicing.
Front points under the radius arm chassis mounts and the rears on the trailing arm chassis mounts. Not so sturdy then. To be fair, as far as I know, mine are fine. (Tempting fate). I guess it's usually the rear cross member and the outriggers that go first. How come RRC chassis never had the same problem? Pretty much surface rust only with them wasn't it? |
