After being self-employed for the last 10 months and not being able to get a full time position, the time has come to leave South Africa.
I'm heading over to the UK tomorrow and will be in the Ferndown area for the first 3-5 weeks and then based around Taunton. I've seen there are a few members in this area and already know that I'll be suffering 'Defender-withdrawal' quite quickly. 
So if any of you are needing a hand for repairs or maintenance (I'm not known for my washing abilities) or fancy a beer or 3, let me know & I'll be more than willing to lend a hand

Taunton has taken a bit of a bashing lately with a local MP comparing it to Aleppo.

Correct,, There are definitely worse place that Taunton !!

you can do a couple of good things defender related in the next few weeks ... So Taunton was not going to be central enough.
Just moved in yesterday, now in Newport, South Wales. Work starts tomorrow
Apologies to any Defender drivers I confused yesterday, between Bournemouth & Bristol along the A350 I waved at about 10, before remembering I was in a Peugeot van Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Funnily enough was looking at importing a discovery 4 5.0 V8 from South Africa as its RHD there and I don't fancy the idea of buying a diesel here as they seem so prone to snapping the crankshaft! was also aiming for a year or so time too whereabouts are you? Newish development in Castle Mon Bank, just across the M4 from you
Currently only know where I am, thanks to the modern marvels of GPS & Google maps
