Indicators stop flashing
If indicators are left on for a while they stop flashing. Hazards work ok. For that reason I changed the indicator switch. Made no difference. I have taken the relay out and put it back in. This resulted in an improvement - ie they flash for longer before stopping.

So I suspect the relay is at fault but surprised the hazards are ok - I assume they use the same relay.

Am I right to replace relay or could it be something else?

Thanks

I would remove, check and clean the earth strap on the transfer box.
If that doesn't do the trick, try a new Relay and go from there and see if that works out.

Do you have a Multimeter? If so, that may help diagnose your issues with some testing on the feeds at the indicators. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

Thanks
So the fact that the hazards are working ok - means theyโ€™re on a different relay?
Would a bad earth on the transfer box not affect other electrics?

It's the same relay but more current flow with all four indicators flashing.

Earth faults can cause all manor of problems, of varying nature.

Were the pins of the relay or holder corroded at all?

I would say the Relay needs changing, it seems to not be detecting the 50% load compared to 100% load with the hazard flashing.
I'd just check the earth strap as it's free to do. Thumbs Up $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
