I’ve booked it in for it’s MOT with my main dealer, Lloyds L.R. Ripon and as I’ve dealt with them for more than twenty years I speak to the Workshop Manager himself not the clueless person on the Service Reception phone.
He’s booked it in and said they’ll carry out the bodywork inspection and give it a look over in general for any problems so I’m happy with that.
I may do an oil and filter change, I think the fuel filter will bo ok for a while as I’ve only ever used BP Ultimate in it.
Thanks for all the advice.
Bob

if its a keeper the only person you need to please is yourself,

I have serviced mine since 3 yrs old myself and am 100% confident I have done a better job than the dealer did for the first 3 yrs of its life, I have also replaced all fluids at earlier dates that the schedule suggests whilst still saving £100s of pounds per year DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

We can't be far off the time, if we are not already there, when a Defender in a main dealers workshop is such an oddity that they will have techs who have any real experience of working on one.
