Hi Tom
in my opinion just how a defender should look, unmolested ready to do any job asked of it! Nice Tommo |

The top one is a private estate in Scotland with Land Rover Experiance on one of their adventure days. We actually stayed in a awesome cottage that you needed a 4x4 to get to in a valley: Click image to enlarge The second is somewhere in Wales, I think above Fairborn. The third one is at the base of Mt Knott in the Lake District, we left it there and ran up to the top - Stupid Idea The 4th is on Houndkirk Moor in the Peak District a regular when walking the dogs: Click image to enlarge My current dilemma is if it would still look ok with Rock or Tree sliders fitted!? |

Don’t have any pretty pics but here goes:
Can’t wait until summer to get the white wheels back on 😎 IMO they look much better, but the winter salt just kills them hence the boosts! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

I like the idea of white boosts, but these are a brand new take off set that are literally 6 months old so it feels a shame to strip and paint them
I should probably start documenting some of the work so here goes with the FBH: Started work on the Webasto install the last few nights, I have a peugeot 807/ c8 webasto thermo top as these are bolted to the car with everything you need in one place, heater, fuel pump, water pump, exhaust etc and can be triggered by +12v £90 all in First job was to test it using the Thermo test software that as per: https://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Fuel_Burning...t_Software The other half's Range Rover FBH went down, due to a failed water pump so naturally mine was sacrificed and has since been replaced with a VW aux water pump from a 2017 T5 and I have made up a new loom for it. Click image to enlarge Fuel Pick Up Decided to run the fuel line directly into the tank via the standard FBH connector on the fuel pump. Click image to enlarge Its number 1 on the diagram, I slowly cut the top off until the fuel pipe was a tight fit into the tank and then fed the fuel pipe through some larger fuel host that I could seal onto the pipe and the fuel pump to prevent any leaks etc. Click image to enlarge Fuel Pump I am mounting this on the drivers side chassis, using the protruding bolt from the rear shock mount. The fuel pump mound that came from the 807 just needed drilling out to 10mm and reversing so that the pump sat higher. Click image to enlarge I have a £3 Filtron fuel filter which is probably overkill fitted and moved the old 807 output pipe from the pump to the input side of the filter as it is the perfect shape to go up and over the standard defender fuel lines. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Webasto Mounting I have just welded the standard mounting bracket onto the wing mount. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Proposed Wiring Diagram Click image to enlarge Controller https://www.gsm-uk.net/shop-2 Long way to go, especially as I only really spend a hour here and there and am easily side tracked by painting things I remove Click image to enlarge |
