Just swapped the tyres over. I asked JLR for the offset before I bought them and got zero response, also no usual ET number on the back of the rim. But compared to the twisted which were zero I reckon these sit in approx 5 mm. they look so much better in person. Andy

I have to say I’m blown away by the traditional step approach. It just looks great and probably makes access so much easier too. With my side step the kids can barely get a foot on As it’s practically under the car, so just tend to either slide out or jump and hope.
I originally thought the fold down steps were only seen on base models but after seeing you strip away all the twisted logos and bling and create a monster in disguise I’m now a total convert.
As expected you’re creating another class motor...

Twisted appear to fit them to the classic builds. I thought they were a redundant part, was searching on eBay for one here one there second hand, and then just happened to ask my mate in parts could he get me 4 and they landed next day Thumbs Up I love them, have them caked in ACF50 or I am sure they will have decayed in a month. Got all the Croytec parts ordered from John tonight so looking forward to getting that all on next week. Andy

I've just bought a set of folding steps too, mainly because they work so much better as steps than the tubular types do.

I like the black headlight surrounds. If it were me, I'd keep the grill surround in white, though. Darren

Gents.
Would you mind If I jumped on the folding step band waggon. Hate my side step as it’s constantly grimy and I don’t like the silver top. Very Happy

I got the 4 for £335 all in. They come with rivnuts for the chassis but if you have already had steps they take about 5mins a step Thumbs Up Andy

Removed the twisted DRL bumper this evening. Was coming off anyway and still had my original. As I thought I kinda like it without the drls. If I decide to go this way though I will have a stainless satin/Matt one from uproar 4x4 added.

Looks very smart! I think with the white, less really is proving to be more...

What’s the plans for the DRL bumper?

Being a V8 (they are everywhere in Aussie)"Devotee", I'm following this thread with interest.
I note you are going the LS3 route, which engine is a great piece of kit. However, if you want some REAL grunt, have you considered the supercharged "LSA", which you can also buy in crate engine form,...this engine will produce almost 600HP with prodigious torque in standard form, & could still "be driven by a little old lady to church on Sunday". I have such an engine in my current car.
Just thought I'd mention it. Pickles.

Good to hear from you Pickles. As a second time I am trying to not rush this one, get over excited but as we are doing it ourselves I want to be sure we get it all running and reliable first. I have already the idea of the Magnuson TVS2300 charger tucked away in my head. You will also enjoy the AP 6pots being used again! Thumbs Up Andy
