but if it was Groundhog day I'd love to spray your untreated chassis with fairy liquid and salt just to see your reaction Laughing

Mate that's not funny, it's well below the belt and you know it! Having a go at another mans chassis goes sooo beyond the line you can see the line coming up in front of you again Laughing

The bill for my impending psychiatrist sessions will be in the post. I feel my twitch coming back on again!

Better go and give the old girl a rub down, that will make me feel better - then I'll go and do the Defender!! Shocked

If you can spray your arm pit you can spray a chassis Rolling Eyes It's got to be one of the most saifisfying jobs - especially for £700 Whistle

Dude, if you've gotta spray your pits with Dinitrol, then you have some serious personal hygiene issues. Snigger

All joking aside.... Not Reading/Berkshire but in South Oxfordshire (abingdon). So maybe near enough ??????

Try Froggsisland 4x4 http://www.frogsisland4x4.com/index.php?op...;Itemid=58

I've just called them and they confirm that they do the treatment. They use Dinitrol over Waxoyl.

3 day treatment, 1 for cleaning, 1 for application and 1 for drying. They treat the underbody with the black wax and thats about £450 for a 110 (didn't ask about if that +VAT, feck, sorry !)

If you want the cavities done, they can do that too, with the clear wax but that will be extra on top. Best bet is to give them a shout and discuss your specific requirements.

Didn't post this earlier, as their website was down for a few days and was wondering if they'd gone bust. I'm nothing to do with them BTW.

HTH

Edit - Have not used them myself so cannot give a recommendation, however, my mates got an old 90 that they converted to run a 3.9v8 + auto box a few years back and he's always been very pleased/impressed with their work. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

Zagato I'm sorry - just jealous - can't order mine until June at least due to the promise of MY12 having lower emissions which has massive implications for running costs here - and when I do I'll be at least as finnicky as you !

Only joking Rossy Thumbs Up MY12 have lower emissions Shocked That would be interesting to hear about! If they could just fit airbags as well it could be in production longer maybe!! Can't be that hard to whack some bags in!

I have read the lack of airbags has something to do with the strength - or lack of it - of the bulkhead and associated components. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]

Rolling Eyes Got to be cheaper to redesign that area rather than a whole new car - suppose the labour intensive build costs is what is really killing the Defender - even if it was made abroad Confused

"Miserable" those two grommets under the windscreen you were talking about for wax spray are they the unused windscreen blanks or are they lower - don't fancy spraying crap all up the inside of the dash Shocked

I think you'll find he means the grommets covering the holes for LH wipers.
