I’d go with they’ve forgot to plug the MAF back in. Plug coming out the air pipe at the top side of the air box. Drivers side of the engine bay. 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html

Nope - checked the plug. Seems OK and as it should be.
Darn - what a frustration and mystery! |

Likely the removed the air hose and maf wires. Check both clamps as well. Check both male and females plugs and pins/contacts. Gently pull each of the 4 wires on the female side.
Maybe they removed the air box cap and did not fit well. Puma 110" SW ............................................................. Earth first. Other planets later |

Thanks MK.
The wires leading into the female plug looks "frayed". Maybe they are simply due for a fix/replacement. I'll try and get it to the mechanics as soon as possible. The box and pipes and seals look fine. |

Problem solved: it was indeed the wires that lead into the plug that had disconnected due to being frayed.
Luckily the place where I fitted the shocks is right next to a LR dealership. The dealership's workshop quickly fixed the wiring - at the request of the tyre shop. I'm immensely relieved and grateful. Thanks for all the advice! |
