Security- tracker, pedal lock, big dog various prices and options. Upto you how secure you want your sort after vehicle to be.
Other than security I’d go for decat and centre silencer removal about £150 - £200 Then a full width intercooler and remap including silicone boost hoses. Upto £1K Seats wise there’s a lot of options. In my eyes you won’t beat recaros and they’re very comfy and built to last. Recaros start at about £1700 second hand ish. Better door hinges and bulkhead blocks are nice additions. Various options again, Gore, Optimill are some of the best. £300+ Noise insulation is always a welcome addition but can become quite costly if you don’t do it yourself. Anywhere from £500 and up depending on the coverage you’re going for. Welcome and enjoy. 2011 Defender DCPU 2.2 - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic30623.html Instagram - @r22oyp Roy |

first - security
second - corrosion protection "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo |

Chassis rust protection. If they are gonna nick it, they will get it whatever you do. You can prevent rust more successfully through 1951 80" S1 2.0

Thanks for all the info so far.
I'm happy to install some noise insulation myself and will definitively get a better immobilizer. Do people honestly unscrew/bolt the doors? Edo... As for the stereo upgrade a decent double din one sounds great. The bloke in the radio shop tried to seel me the alpine halo one. https://www.alpine.co.uk/p/Products/head-units/ilx-f903d But this looks a bit suck on. Verdicts? I can't see your posts yet or PM you as I'm a newbee and need ot post 3 times. I'm definitely buying the Mud rails to give a bit of extra room. Where is the best place for seats. I've a 7 seater so that makes it even more costly. Anyone seen the LRI stuff on Ebay? Basically a retrim kit. |

As said a few times already.
1) Security 2) Corrosion protection If you don't know what you want for modifications, why take someone else's advice based on their wants? Live with it for a while, use it as you intend to, then decide what you want to change/can't live with. Who knows, you might hate the noisy, uncomfortable Defender after a few months and decide to sell it rather than spend thousands on new seats and soundproofing that will only partly solve the issues |

1. On a 110, worth reinforcing the rear mudflap brackets
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic44513.html?highlight=mudflap 2. Also if she's a keeper, consider Gwyn Lewis mud shields to keep the crud off the outriggers/crossmember... https://gwynlewis4x4.co.uk/product-category/mud-shields-flaps/ 3. Yes to soundproofing, if you want to have a conversation (person to person or hands free) at 60-65mph - especially on wet roads Noisekiller or Dynamat (or lower-cost equivalents) seem to work best (I have both!) 4. Also consider a boomslang loom, wipac crystal headlights and updated bulbs to improve the lights (and protect the light switch). And of course, security and rust prevention Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) Last edited by MartinK on 23rd Sep 2018 1:05pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Paul - just a bit of aluminium strip will do...
Click image to enlarge I just used a 3 inch long but of aluminium strip, drilled, and put in place...super cheap (likely free except for 30 mins work) mod will save you fixing the rear mudflap later You can use the original nut/bolt or buy stainless equivalent... No, it's extremely dishonest but still happens a lot! The cost of replacing a full set of doors on a 110 is enough to make the vehicle an insurance write-off |

I’ve a 3 hour drive home on Wednesday when I pick it up. I assume by the end of that i’ll Know if it needs sound proofing.

https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/in-car-.../xav-ax100 I got this for about 350 online. Really happy with it. Alpine looks good. How much is it? I've bought quite a lot of stuff from LR including the sound insulation. A minor issue with carpet fit but sending me a new piece. |
