4.6 V8 TVR Engine Defender
My new weekend warrior, built on a 1996 300tdi van, painted bmw cosmos black, tvr 4.6 V8 with a R380 V8 gear box, custom exhaust, upgraded brakes shock and springs all round. To me this is the ultimate defender and beats my 50ths hand down, I'm a lover of 50th style but is better imho. Needless to say it sounds and runs wonderfully.

I've got the interior to finish and will be all black with forward facing rear seats for the kids.

My next video will be that just waiting for new plates and it's on the road, needless to say it sounds fantastic the engine is the sweetest I've heard and the exhaust has been designed to compliment the engine when opened up but quite sedate when pottering around

Excellent. Which gearbox have you used? I have made a choice that when my TDCI packs up I’m either going V8, or electric. One extreme or the other!

You have to give it respect that’s for sure

I never done it was done professionally a few years ago to a very high standard, anything is possible with correct amount of money. I don’t think you would have much change out of £10k doing it this way and a ls3 crate engine conversion is getting priced at £20k plus. Im sure you could do a standard V8 conversion for less, I’m just happy to have it to be honest not many like this going around.
