Series doors
Thinking of swapping my rather rusty 90 front doors for some new series doors, wondered if anyone else done it, and if it looks the part

I fitted them to my 110 for financial reasons, they're a lot cheaper than one piece doors, but i really like them. I got mine from SP4x4, they came as a complete kit with anti burst door locks (a must) and a bracket that enables the use of the original check strap and operates the interior light switch. There are some pics on my build thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50833-30.html

Morning,
I went down the SP 4x4 route and bought the series door conversion kit for our 90. They have been great so far. Have a look in my gallery.
Cheers, Simon Thumbs Up

That looks brilliant in your pics, are they an easy fit ???? or is it a complete pain.

I had them fitted for me at my local Indy. I had them painted, them took them up to him. Invest in the galvanised strip that sits between the upper and lower doors too. It just finishes off the job. I prefer them for lots of reasons, lighter, can see water coming in and more leg room. You can keep the later defender door seals and the fit/seal is very good. I some times get a small amount of water coming through the door lock, but only if I spray that area directly when cleaning the Rover. The kit is good and I found the SP 4x4 team, really helpful.
Good luck and enjoy.
Cheers, Simon Very Happy Thumbs Up
