Refurbished Injectors - Are they worth it?
Hopefully with the vast array of knowledge/experience/expertise on here I and others may be guided on the best route when replacing the Injectors.

It is probably just me, but having done many searches I cannot find a thread that gives advice on Injector renewal.

The costs are pretty eye watering depending on who you go to and there seems to be such big differences in costs. However, Im tempted to go down one of two routes.

The first is to get new ones from Turner Engineering, and the second is to get refurbished ones from Transit Parts UK.

What are peoples thoughts on these?

Many thanks

What can be refurbished on these types of very high pressure injectors? I genuinely don't know, not being sarcastic. Is it more than just spraying them with carb cleaner to get the dirt off? 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

We have these guys down in Oz.
They fit new needles that are ceramic coated.

I've never had any luck with recon injectors... times have moved on since tdi days, but a lot of recon places haven't.

For Tdci 2.4 or 2.2 I would always use new - which will also have the correct calibration code to put into the ECU.

No need to go genuine - just OEM. IRB

Hi Porny, Many thanks for your advice. Without putting you on the spot can you recommend a good supplier to get them from? Ive seen prices for new ones ranging from £ 180 to over £ 400 per injector!!
Many thanks again.

I can do you brand new OEM injectors for £155 + vat each (if buying 4)

This includes all new seals. Only additional thing needed is 2 new clamp bolts which are £8 + vat a pair

You will need to get the injectors coded into the ECU once fitted and Pilot Learn redone.

Fitting is easy - as long as the old injectors come out.
