England 1995 Defender 110 300 Tdi HT Portofino Red
300tdi rocker shaft bolt torque?
just changed my rocker shaft but unsure of torque, googled it and it says 5NM then 50 degrees,,, 5nm is absolutely nothing this cant be right?? even with the 50 degrees?? is this right??

Yep I'm fairly sure the Haynes manual quotes something like that (can't remember exactly off the top of my head but I remember it because my torque wrench barely registers a 'click' at 5Nm) Matt.

yeah me too, my torque wrench done 5nm with my little finger,, could have almost done that with with my bare fingers!
will see how it feels after 50 degrees when i get a 13mm 1/2 inch socket for my angle guage,
cant see it making it that much tighter,, but if thats what the manual says thats what i will do,, cheers Very Happy

Yes 5nm gets them all seated and the the degrees are because they’re a “torque to yeild” bolt.
