What engine?
To be honest though, it could be anything and will be difficult to track down by just pushing and prodding. Can you get somebody to rev the engine whilst you stand in front with the bonnet open? 2.2 Puma
I’ve done that but it only does it under load. I’m looking at setting the go pro up pointing at various parts and driving with the bonnet off to see I’ve ican get closer to the source The post was more to see if anybody else had a similar rattle |

My guess is this too. ^^^^
Also check the red lifting eye on the back of the engine that it isn't loose. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Mine does it too.. does yours stop if you take a sharp yank left or right at the steering wheel, while accelerating? No rear engine lifting eye on mine, so can’t be that. I was thinking it could be injection timing. Oddly though, when the engine is cold it still does it, but rises in pitch at the same time. Very odd. |

I’ve checked bolts holding turbo heat shield and have tried bending it up and driving bending it down and driving bending it left bending it right.
This is off a transit but my actuator rod moves like this. Not quite as bad but a potential candidate for the rattle. |

I could be imagining it, but I’m sure the noise went away as I was accelerating up a hill the other day, and had to ‘avoid’ something. |
