I had the same problem few month ago when I changed the mirror arms of my Defender.
As Grockle said the spring clip should be broken and any repair will las just few weeks. In my case happens when I mount the mirror incorrectly. Inside the mirror have a metal plate that should be attached to the plastic mirror body by 2 flaps. If this piece fails to be in good position, all the force made by the adjusting bolt going to the plastic part and broke the clip. So, new mirror is needed. The alternatives one are not expensive at all. Cheers! Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |
