They're M8 but they should screw into captive nuts in the underside of the cross member. Because they disappear into a large cavity, the length isn't critical - I think I used 25mm ones on mine as that was what I had to hand. I used stainless ones to try and avoid corrosion.

thanks! and yeah i thought that they were captive nuts but for some reason one of them isnt and is just an ordinary nut, i will order a one to fit that, thank you
