2004 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Santorini Black

Santorini (formerly Java) Td5 90

I’m surprised that I haven’t done a build post on my 90 before, but now that it’s in pieces I thought it would be time!

I’ve had it for almost 4 years and it’s currently undergoing some extensive TLC over with Chris at CSK.

When I bought it, it was fairly stock and needed a few things putting right.

After a few years of playing around it turned out like this.

It went off to CSK back at the beginning of October (I think) and we were waiting for a galv bulkhead to be finished before any strip down happened. The new chassis and bulkhead were painted over Christmas and New Year and the strip down started over the weekend.

For pretty much 17 years old, I don’t think that’s too bad! The engine isn’t actually as scruffy as the photo makes it look!

Thanks for doing a re-build thread on your 90

I love following these

on the 3rd pic down, i noticed that the lane the pic was took in, just looks like a great looking lane

Axles and chassis are together. Chassis has been painted. LOF Extreme spec SMF clutch kit fitted as well.
