Hi Ray,
No squeak from the engine, I checked the crank pulley seems fine. It’s just hit 70,000 miles so I’m reluctant to replace the DMF for that reason but I’m still convinced that’s the where the problemil lies. But want to be almost certain it’s that if possible. I’ve read other posts and found flywheels can only last 60k? My other 90 td5 was on 120k before it was replaced and still didn’t cause any vibrations etc. But wasn’t worth putting all back together without. Anything else I can check before I bite the bullet? |

Had some vibration on my 65k mile td5 and seemed to be getting worse Pulled the propeller shafts one at a time and went for a drive. Found possible slight play in rearmost u joint, but still very good. I was convinced it was not the source of vibration, but while on the bench i pushed a lot of new grease through all the u joints....vibration now completely gone.
I do have a slight but intermittent 1:1 vibration when hot at idle in traffic which might be a DMF issue though, so watching this thread. Patrick |

I will double check the UJ’s but I’m not convinced as when I let the clutch up i feel a vibration through the floor. Every so often I get it through the steering wheel which makes me think otherwise or two different vibrations. yes I know it’s a Land Rover !
