Hi,
Take a look at the Roo Lite or the same but more expencive Light Force lights - they offer several sizes and types and have the option on them to change from a spot to a wide spread simply be rotating the outer cover They are fantastic and look good also Cheviot 4x4 sell both and they are on 0191 2574444 or look on www.cheviot4x4.com Hope this helps. Careful with the mounting of the 170's if they are the jointed arm like the Lightforce they can very easily be destroyed.
Don't know what Hella are priced like in UK (they're expensive down here) but the Rallye 4000 FF Compacts are very good lights to. Had them on my Disco2 and they were about the same as the older larger size (8") 4000's. Oh and the Lightforce 240HID's I've got on my Puma are fantastic 110 2.4TDCi 110 300Tdi LROCV ::: AULRO.com |

The choice only seems to get bigger!
Life was easy when i wanted the Warn lights, i knew the ones and where to get them from - now im like a cat in the lights of a range of spotlights! So if found the roo lites from Cheviot seem good. Hella - ive experienced, good - but where to get them KC lites - i like, from matt savage i think Lightforce, as advice they look the same as the roolites, just more expensive Choices... Mike |

I would have bought the ROO lights to be honest if i would have seem them especially at £60
i got what i thought was a good at the time paying £175 for LIGHTFORCE as everywhere was selling them at a tad over £200, again as oposed to the WARN at the best part of £300. the most contributing factors involved in choosing the LIGHTFORCE for me were ! Anti corrosive body and reflectors, stainless fixings, LEXAN impact resistant lense which also have the protectors to cover them combined with this is the differing lense combo's to project beams and alter colours to suit driving conditions. Most importantly the projected beam is like a light sabre lighting up the track way ahed of anything that could be deemed too close for comfort. DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN |

Its decided then Roo Lites - they seem to have some similar features to lightforce for about £80 less. So on to mounting the things Mike |

Mounting them !
i have the soft rubberised foamy type A bar and they dangle under that very well. If you are intending getting a winch as i think you have said you are then you can get these with centre bar removed to accomodate a winch. Fitting kits come included with these lights and look very substantial indeed, heavy duty wire and in line fuses and a Digital switch ? whatever the digital switches are ?
