Quite a hefty machine, although not quite as large as my Induma I think. It is always sad to see a fine machine go for scrap, but sometimes it is the only sensible option.
Not at all unusual nowadays, especially with equipment that cannot easily be moved or broken down for scrapping. Generally if you shop around you can find someone who'll still collect FOC, but the scrap metal market is a very weird place. |

Exactly, it depends on the wholesale price of scrap on any given day. Some times they'll pay you to take it away, sometimes they'll take it away for free, sometimes you have to pay them to take it. It also depends what it is, I doubt anyone charges to take away a couple of tons of copper for example, chances are you'd be getting bids for that. But a couple of scrap cars with tyres on the other hand, expect to pay. |
