This confused me when I fitted XS sidesteps to my County 110. So I went to the dealer and looked under a XS to see how they connected.
The 2 bars which connect from the step to the chassis go to a hole in the chassis where there's no obvious threaded hole (on a County) ...because it's expecting a rivnut. I bought 4 x 12mm (M8 I think) stainless bolts with nyloc nuts, and bolted straight thru the chassis (there's a corresponding hole at the other side of the chassis rail). As long as we are talking genuine part: 90 has two (one per step), 110 has 4 (2 per step). They look genuine... the support goes at the front of the step - (left of picture) - you can just see the tab it bolts to (the bottom of the front curved bar). Factory or dealer fit is a rivnut in the chassis. If yous isn't an XS, there won't be one. You could either install a rivnut, or bolt right thru the chassis (which is what I did) using M8 x 110m bolts and nyloc nuts (with washers of course).
