well fitted the new seal today, only problem I had was the flange didnt want to come off the pinion and as I had no puller, so I had to make one out of some strip steel and a few bolts which extended the job somewhat.
If I was to do this again and had a puller I would say 1.5 hrs max, and all done lying under the car. Have driven it about 10 miles and all looks good so far. Tools you need standard sockets 100nm Torque wrench Prop shaft bolt spanners (or struggle a bit with normal ones) and a small flange puller. screw driver (to pull the old seal out) and I didnt have to drain any oil out the diff and lost none in the process, checked and it was still full so my leak must have looked worse than it was DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS, I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

I’ve got a leak on my Ashcroft rear diff ☹️ Not 12 month old yet

done about 100 miles leak not reappeared so happy again for now DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
