What's up with the lowered? My v8 is lowered and has seen a few green lanes, gets to 'cross country' at shoots AND marshals on off road events.

But sssshhhhhhhh, don't tell those with 2+ inch lifts that my axles are the same distance from the ground as those guys.

I wave.... In fact, I don't usually wave at Defenders with livestock or horse trailers.... I was in the v8 the other week and a Defender approached in the opposite direction, horse box on... The girl waved at me, I just looked in disbelief. Sorry !

Let’s all agree to disagree Rolling with laughter

For me the main attraction is that you can do your own thing with your defender

And if your thing is:
Keeping it stock (boring)
Restoring it to it’s former glory (it wasn’t a great car to begin with)
Lowering it to the ground (why o why)
Making the most perfect and beautifull defender ever (mine Rolling with laughter )

I can enjoy every personalised defender. (Srry i am not the stock type). But i certainly don’t like every personalised defender.

And making fun of eachother is Just part of the reason of being here.

Just my 50 cents a defender from 1984 pretending to be a puma with a touch of Range Rover

I'm glad Martin isn't big on political correctness.

Say what you think (within reason) and others are free to have a different opinion.

People have died for that right.

A lot of people feel "gagged" these days, and that cannot be good.

The exception being that derogatory comments about Essex should be ruthlessly censored! Laughing

Just at the tail end of a 2 week holiday in France. I've met a few Defenders on the road and EVERYONE waves. There's also the 'carpark huddle' thing going on as, for the second time - at the Leclerc carpark at Tourlaville we come out with the shopping and there's a french Defender parked right next to us. Bless.
