Gear box 300 tdi
Hi folks

Can anyone tell me if the r380 out of a td5 has the same input shaft as the 300 tdi. Therefore all I have to do is swap the bell housing over.

Currently exploring options as I have a broken gear box. Also considering putting a Range Rover v8 in which I hAve posted else where

Regards

Simon

No they’re not the same, Ashcroft’s do a kit to convert the Td5 box, with a discription on their site. Dave is a gentleman to deal with!

Thank you. Spoken to Ashcroft over the last couple of weeks. The reason for the question was there was an Ashcroft rebuilt gear box on eBay for a td5

Saw that on my trawls too. It’s just the r380 and as I understood it, it was for the gearbox only not transfer too. Ashcroft new box with warranty from them, that fits your 300tdi is the same price as the second hand one that won’t fit? Why’d he remove it too?
