Just for Ray I've toiled in the rain to remove the chrome and get some reflection on the bonnet. Went at the lettering with the heat gun then hit the bonnet with the rotary and the G3 followed by a quick wax before the rain started. Nice to see the water beading. A long way to go yet.
Gave the engine a bit of a steam but now needs to dry. Put her away using less spark than she came out with. ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge |

Two hours later and this lot is out. Must have been a fortune back in the day.

yeah all that ICE would have been worth a few quid, I don't think ICE installs like that are as popular now. It was all the thing 10 years ago! Practically nothing on the market now.
I do agree with the bonnet, looks much better ![]() Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

It was very scabby and I'm putting black arches on. My painting attempts are by no means perfect.

Another full day in the garage and one half is almost there. Nearly ready to turn her around to start the other side.
After removing all the stereo I was left with big holes in the dash and door cards. I decided to have a go at making some new cards. I bought some 4mm ply and black pvc. ![]() Click image to enlarge Various bits painted (not the best) and components fitted. ![]() Click image to enlarge |
