Its likely the switch once again (sadly). It gets full voltage and amperage through the switch which causes it to burn out. You can hot wite the olug by bridging it iwth a single wire. If it works its the switch. Install a relay wiring harness like this when you change the switch ine more time. This takes all the voltage and amperage off the switch and it is a simple plug and play.

Thank you, I tried bridging the switch contacts together but still had no lights?
Do you have any other ideas or is it an auto electricians role now? Many thanks |

Follow the wires to each light as well as the ignition switch and ensure they are all plugged in properly. Switch the relay and fuse as well just to be sure.

Okay so I just tried bridging the wires together again and no lights but;
Brown wire had 11v to it but when I connected it to the other two it lost all the voltage to zero! Does this shed any further light on it? |

Even more confused now as following the diagram above, hopefully correctly.
I have 12v at the switch at the brown wire bridged with the blue wire 12v bridged with red wire 0v fuses appear fine just checked them so is there a problem on the red wire which goes to the fuse box passenger compartment? Am i just confusing myself? |

thanks but no idea where the headers are etc or what I am looking for now.
If anyone can explain what I need to test and where that would be useful, feeling a little silly! |

Once again great information and help, just think I am going to end up taking lots of bits off and then struggling though.
I have no real idea of what I am doing other than finding it does not work. If there is power to switch brown wire could it actually be fuse, relay or switch or more likely a break or earthing problem in the headlight wire? |

Start by checking light fuses 11.12, 15,16, 7, 17, 18 in passenger compartment fuse box

If main flash is working, earthing at headlight wire is ok as both lamp filaments use common earth
