If its between the frame and roof skin, only real way is to take it out, clean off all old sealer and reinstall with a decent mastic sealer and edge seal with silicone.
If its between glass and rubber, take out glass and thoroughly clean, wipe seal with meths then apply smear of Vaseline on seal and reassemble. Good luck Keith |

I took the glass out, removed the rubber seal.
Then put sealant in the channel where the seal sits and replaced. So far it's held up perfectly. I also sealed the roof to sunroof. Used sikaflex Will Defender 90 XS TD5 (03 Reg) |

[quote="timtom1"]My sunroof is leaking as per usual, so I sealed it on the outside with sealant, but its still dripping through where the window hinges meet the metal and also collects in-between the rubbers. I thought about taking my headlining out this weekend for further investigation. Any other ideas how to stop it?

Tim
As an alternative to Vaseline (shouldn't be used on rubber products ) try using silicone grease available from all plumbers merchants. I have used it on my roof with great success. |

Hi I had the same issue with the roof on the zepplin i did have some success with ct1 but in the end I replaced the roof they all end up leaking eventually but ct1 is pretty good noticed your on lancashire too Tim I still have the old sunroof if you need parts but I can't vouch for their water tightness

Have had this problem also, after trying various ways, I eventually removed the sunroof altogether, stripped it down and gave it a good clean and reassembled with just a touch of sealant and it has been fine for about 5yrs now. Worth the effort in the end. Regards
Dennis. |
