I'm finding my ignition locks up on attempting to start-up - seems to be getting worse and the only way around it is to wildly wiggle the steering wheel sideways, back and forth. Anyone else had this problem?

i've had it a couple of times and i "think" its a combination of the front wheel possition and some gradient (nose up) and a dip of the clutch, this allows that little bit of roll due to the transmition brake taking the front wheels into steering lock, the issue then being that the weight of the vehical is to some degree hanging on the front wheels, this then makes the turning of the steering wheel a strong man event.
IF and i do mean if, it is what i say, it may because your parking with just the right amount of lock on, and what i found as it always happened on my drive was that if i got the wheels straight when parking up or if i forgot, i just hold the car on the foot brake, take of the transmition brake then role just a little (6 inches usually is enough) as i turn the key and work the steering wheel its very easy to undo. just dont role into your house p.s ignition lock barrel wear makes this more of an issue but can get sorted under warrenty.
