I have DLRs using the front side light. I fitted series rear stop/tail holders with a clear lens and LED lamps. This give 21W on both sides. I'll send you the diagram if you PM me with your e-mail address.

Ca anyone explain how to do this?
I fiitted the SVX type headlamps to my 110, and used the sidelights in these. This frees the original sidelights to be used as DRL, but unure as to how to wire these up for DRL. IS there an SVX type plug snd play wiring loom addition for DRLs? 2010 110 XS USW (the slow one) 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ (the fast one) 2005 Ducati ST3 1954 Sunbeam S8 |

There is no plug and play option. The best way is to buy a module that is simply clips on to exisitng wiring. This way it will switch on and off with ignition and also off when the lights are switched on.

Cant you simply turn your lights on in the day if you want DRL?
Or am I not getting the point? 130's have feeling's as well you know |

If you're not then neither am I. I think maybe its just for ease of not having to spent a nano second flicking a switch? Also, if we're talking about headlights rather than side lights, there is nothing more annoying than being followed on green lane by a truck with its lights on unless they are absolutely needed ie its dark. the constant lifting of the front end means you have to dip your rear view mirror |

Its because DRL's either use main beam or a far brighter lamp than normal. |

Surely it would be illegal to use main beams?
DRLs used to be limited to 21 watts. Stupid things anyway, if you can't see an oncoming car without them you shouldn't be on the road! Good idea on bikes, not cars. |

There are alot of people who are on the road though, that shouldn't !
They use the main beam but on a reduced voltage. Gives a different beam pattern |

I couldn't agree more!
It can't be a different beam pattern then, just dimmer. I still don't see how it can be legal, given that it is illegal to have a light which may dazzle oncoming drivers, unless it is so dim that the aggregate effective output is less than or equal to 21 Watts. |

Ok, maybe not a different beam pattern, but a more striking light.
All the cars that have them now are either very bright led's (Audi) or they are using the mainbeam spots - (Fiat 500, vauxhalls) |
