how are your glow plugs?
For the past year mine has started ok but with some white smoke. On the coldest of days starting 2 or 3 seconds slower and running on 2 or 3 cylinders for a few seconds.

Swapped the glow plugs yesterday and on testing the old ones not one of them worked. Two warmed up slightly (the temp of almost cold tea).. two were dead! I thought the jump leads I was using were faulty so tried them out on a 1952 lucas m418g/g76 starter and that worked.. so all four plugs have failed and ive only done 66 000 miles.

am I unlucky? or are beru glow plugs not much good? as I replaced like for like. 1953 80"
