Hi guys,
110 Puma, 2007, 2nd hand. Generally works pretty well. Only at times at around 2200 RPM the gear lever vibrates and rattles. Does anyone know how to fix it? if i look at the stick, i see that the outer shell is slightly detatched from the upper knob (i hope i made myself clear) I am pretty sure that there was some similar discussion on the site but culd not find it. Little help please??? |

Only if you buy a new gear stick unit..... I would delegate to a indy or LR outlet. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Good point. I'll have to speak to the dealer... |

I've got the same issues with my 90 SW. The gearstick vibrates and rattles, especially when you work the engine hard. Problem is, mines a 2009 and from what I can gather from previous posts this issue was sorted with models from 2009 and on?

mine had it as well - you need to replace both the gear stick and selector plate.
my understanding is that it isn't a big job. makes a huge difference once it's done, so quiet and smooth! www.ralton.co.za |

Got the same problem on mine under any load from about 1800 rpm. Told the dealer that the engine/gearbox had to be warm for it to happen, then to be told, when I asked them, that they took it round the block and couldn't find anything wrong .
Now it's out of warranty . However, I have a fix. Turn the radio up! Chris. |

Mine does exactly the same on a 57 plate but stops when you hold the gearstick.Did this problem come up as a bulletin which could be repaired by dealer even if the truck is out of warranty?
