10a seems like a lot for a few tiny bulbs, are you sure the circuit isn't shared with something else?
I haven't got a diagram to hand right now, but maybe someone else can clarify. Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition) |

I’ll have to check. Think I’ve got a wiring diagram somewhere. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Ok, the one other thing on that circuit are the head lamp leveling motors. I know one of those doesn't work. Could that be causing the intermittent fuse blowing?
I've had the dash panel out again today to find any damaged wires, I've pulled tugged and wiggled every cable and can't cause the fuse to blow. It all look ok. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

Yes I'd say it's more likely those. After all they and their wiring and connectors are exposed to the elements and one isn't working (could be jammed).
Each time you turn on the ignition (regardless of whether the lights are on or not) power is fed through the switch to keep the lights in that position. If you disconnected the switch the lights fall to their lowest position as that is their fail safe. I'd get that looked at, the motor or mechanism could be jammed and could cause the motor to blow the fuse. Now: 2010 2.4 TDCi 110 Utility Wagon Then: 2004 2.5 TD5 90 Hard Top (X-Tech Edition) |
