I debated doing a bit of a build thread but have never got round to it.
I'm sure we can have a show and tell on the campsite. I'm sure folk will be queuing up for a guided tour of @BossHog's upgraded party tent- I need to have a proper look at @chinney's folding table from last time as I fancy building something similar for our 110. Chris |

I missed the bit in the description that advised the brackets came galvanised without powder coating so I had to delay fitting for a few days while I got them done (the silver bugged me).
It's now on and ready to go, I think I like the red. Click image to enlarge Keith |

I’m starting to get excited about this now
I hope the weather is as good as 2016’s trip G My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |

@Enid Puceflange,
We can only hope so, whilst a bit of wet weather can make the driving more exciting it could make the camping a bit grim! As I said, I hope to have the use of a gazebo this year so that will hopefully- even if we do have some less nice weather we will have somewhere to congregate. A couple of folk have mentioned preparation prior to the trip, theres nothing too drastic, I would recommend the following; Tyre Pressures/tread levels (including spare!) Check all Fluids (and bring some spare.......) Battery in a decent state of health Any low hanging towing accessories either raised or removed Decent recovery points front and rear- I had to give 2 vehicles a 'helping hand' last time Last time I suggested bringing home baking/local produce to share- Is anyone game for this this time around? Leanne is going to bake biscuits or a big flapjack or something to share Chris |

The trip is getting closer now!
We'll be coming from North Essex so a fair way, as it's an early start Saturday (08:30?) I think we should try to stay somewhere local on the Friday night. Any recommendations for somewhere? Thinking B&B or Hotel really rather than another night on the campsite. |

Hi,
Locally I would recommend the Glenspean Lodge Hotel, the couple who own it are friends of ours and it's a lovely place. They also do cracking meals. Chris |

Might see if the lad fancies this on his birthday weekend.
He’s only 14 so it may be a no. |

Martin,
I had an absolute blast the last time we did this, sure I’m only in Edinburgh and relatively close compared to some of the members that are attending The scenery, the access to the private estates and the gang who you will meet both whilst driving & afterwards on the campsite is well worth the effort buddy My mrs is jacked off that I am doing more planning for this than one of our annual abroad holidays My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |

Cheers Chris, it was boked up but I think I've found somewhere locally. I've booked a room for the Sunday night will I need to inform the campsite? |
