Purity sure I have the 1120 for mine which is more than enough roof for the Nanocom, OBD cable and USB cable. Got mine 2nd hand on eBay about £40 I think maybe cheaper.

+1 for pelican, especially if you can get them cheap on ebay. They stand up to abuse so well that a worn looking one is actually my preference.

These are similar to peli cases but a whole lot cheaper and just as strong.

Those cases are all pretty big. Bit too big for just a nanocom and lead.

Smaller ones do exist, I have one of these (not for a Nanocom) and it's decent:

I’ve revived this thread as I’ve recently bought a Nanocom Evo in a recent group buy (thanks diesel driver!) As it’s an expensive bit of kit thought I’d better get a good quality, tough, case to protect it when I travel.
I found this case Peli Case 1120 on Amazon : Click image to enlarge It’s about the same size as the Box the Nanocom came in : Click image to enlarge I decided to use the case in the same way as the original box, with the cables underneath the Nanocom: Click image to enlarge I then put the base foam on the cables and sliced the main foam block so that it fitted on top of the cables, plucked out the foam to fit the Nanocom and put it on top : Click image to enlarge It all fits perfectly and I’m very pleased. Hope this is of help to anyone else who needs or is thinking of a case. Chris 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black. |

Pelicase is a bit much isnt it? Mines in an Amzn basics satnav case! Stays in the cubby, been there past 3 years without incident or damage!

Each to their own! Whatever works for you. But this type of case does seem popular.

If you want the best. They really are a feat of engineering and like many things we purchase maybe a little OTT but then there is pleasure in having something that does the job with plenty in reserve. |

I use a Peli 1060, it holds the Nanocom with it's OBD and USB leads perfectly, think it was £20 2nd hand off eBay although they are twice that new. It's a bit smaller than the 1120 /not as bulky so fits nicely into the cubby box.
I'd gladly buy another at the RRP, mine has travelled round West-Africa in the bottom of a rucksack for 3 years, it's been dropped, submerged and came off a Defender wing at 60mph after forgetting to pack it away before setting off Despite a few scratches it's still doing it's job 2005 Td5 110 Hardtop 1989 300Tdi 90 Soft top 1992 200Tdi 90 Truck cab with Land Cruiser axles |

We need a "Show us your Peli case/What do you keep in your Peli case" thread. 😊
