I’ve fitted the following to my 110 Puma and really happy with it as it didn’t completely blow the budget.
Focal PC100 in the back Focal ES100K in the front Kenwood KSC-SW11 active subwoofer Started with the sub a while ago and just finished with the fronts. Great sound without the expense and hassle of amps etc. No hacking around interior trim either. 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X |

How does the sub connect to your head unit as I've got some RCA leads already in place by previous owner and another cable some strange svhs type end on it?
How did you wire the sub up for power and where did you hide it? |

You can get 5.25 to fit in the front of a td5 and a puma I run focal k2 powers in the front crossovers are large but fit . I run a focal ibus 2.1 which is plug and play and a twin amp and sub in the other. The 2 amps piggybacks of the 4 Chanel using 1 set of rca leads from the head unit. The sub is controlled via a rux knob

The sub is mounted to the back of my cubby box. (There's a thread on it if you search for the sub name). Power is direct from the battery (fused). It's switched in by taking a switch feed from the positive on the head unit. I can't remember what outputs I used for it but do remember it was pretty simple. 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X |

My old alpine active sub used rca leads and and was wired to the battery and a remote swithing lead back to the head unit. The focal uses speaker inputs, and amps the front speakers. I still take power of the battery, and a remote feed from the head unit. The amps agin use a feed from the batttery and a remote from the head unit, I've earthed all of them to various points on the seatbox tweeters up front in a td5 makes a massive difference as well as some sort of sub I did used to run twin 10" but I needed the space when I put forward facing rear seats in so its now only a single 8

How did you go about neatly increasing the mounting hole size to accommodate 5.25" speakers? |

You can remove the end cap easily on passenger side. Drivers I did insitu. I used the new grill cover to position and mark the new hole size, small molegrips can hold it in place and marked with a sharpie pen. I have used a dremel to cut the extra out, and also stitched drilled along the new line. It's all pretty easy, just measure twice cut once. If you look in my gallery there's photos of the td5 and puma. There a few threads, look in the definitive ice section from thread. More than happy to talk through it
Ps is yours a puma or TD5 as the puma I used a fein cutter as only plastic |

Thanks, looking at the below speakers hole size is only 116mm and they are currently 100mm. So was wondering if I get some spacers I might get away without cutting the holes any bigger
http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI...spheader=1 Do the tweeters screw into place normally ? |

The tweeters come with cups that you can screw to the dash top. I've fitted all of mine flush mounted. You should be able to get a hole saw to suit pretty easy to do and looks factory . A 10mm spacer might be enough. You could make it out of mdf ? Personally due to there position I'd trim the hole to fit, look better and less likely to be hit by knees.

I like tweeters to fit flush, but there are many options but reminds me of a frogs eyes if the sit proud at an angle. No Guts, No Glory.

Was looking at these below to save hassle, did you flush mount yours? http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/in-car-...allow.html There are spacers currently so I can live with the knees thing, not sure the ones above are angled though like the originals |
