They would do the job, although you'd probably find cheaper on the bay, halfrauds probably stock them too. I'd doubt you'd get angled like the originals. All my installs have been flush mount. Personal preference |

Cheers , I see mudstuff do some rear corner speaker panels that look good too.. I'll make a shopping list next month and keep you all updated. They also do a neat sub that fits under the cubby box in the middle .

Looking at these speakers from JL audio as they give me flexibility on how I install them. Any ideas if there is enough room to hide the crossovers behind the speakers some where?

Edging towards this flush mount method, I've made a few card template of speakers size and 116mm for the hole to get an idea. Did you cut the leather type dash material or stitch drill it along with the metal? Last edited by Djcla on 1st Jan 2018 10:54pm. Edited 1 time in total |

You don't push them up towards the screen and trim the excess. It will allow you more depth. Pm me your number if you'd like to talk about it more

Click image to enlarge Might make more sense now you can see the old footprint of the standard speaker and 2 fixing holes. But the hole has been cut for the new 5.25" speaker. In this case the orientation is across to the left, however it works better moving then up towards the windscreen, allowing maximum clearance from the bulkhead |

its like a rabbit hole this as the speakers i found are too over powered and need an amp LOL.. Anyway ill decide on that later but a question for now is can you get adapters for the connectors on the LR speaker cables to save chopping them?
