https://www.nakatanenga.de/en/vehicle-equi...-td4?c=312 Not planning to fit a snorkel as would want to wade it over 600mm. Anyone fitted either without adding a RAI? Thanks 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

i have the nugget kit on my soft top (2.4) with Alive intercooler and remap. liked it so much i bought another Nugget kit for the 110. well worth the money for a neat fitting without coming out on top of the wing. other cheaper alternatives available though as suggested. Cheers

I fitted the Nugget intake to my 2.4, and have not fitted a snorkel. If you do, can I suggest you are mindful of the adaptor fitting for the hose on the airbox as it runs very close to one of the bolts on the engine.
I found that I needed to drill some small holes to allow the original intake grille to fit as they normally are retained by some kind of clamping clip in the intake. It was either that or I had complete brain fade and hallucinations due to interminable fighting with the outer wing bolts whilst fitting the roll cage and just saw this as the easiest way of keeping it in place that wasn't duct tape .... |

I’ve got the Nak one on my 110. Really well made as you would expect. Only issue was getting the old intake out, but a few knuckles later and it was on the drive .. in pieces.
I run it with a BAS remap, Allisport intercooler, de-cat and no centre silencer. Seems to breath better, but that might just be me trying the justify the expense! 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X |

Don't remove the air box. No need.
Warm pipes up to make them soft. Fully submerged as flex in all directions including the ends is useful. We used nearly boiling water to achieve. Washing up liquid everything apart from the area you are trying to grip the pipes! Don't lean on the air con rad as you can push this into the new cooler and damage both. Allow 4-5hrs. Once intercooler is in, start with pipe from turbo first. Attach at turbo end and re clamp. Then do intercooler end. Same on other side, start with intake end then attach intercooler end. Don't skip warming them and washing up liquid, it won't work if not. 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

Did it today, also replaced leaky radiator so although it took longer it turned out easier in some ways, still a pig getting the grille around the winch and bumper though...
Also cleaned MAP/IAT2 Vehicle is soooo much smoother, and there certainly is a punch once the pressure is built up. A 'smooth punch' Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |

I won't be Fitting a rai on 110 just yet, will be just the nugget kit. The 90 softop with nugget and snorkel doors seem to breathe very well. Cheers

Removing the rad would have made our job easier. Tried to get the fan off but it wouldn't budge. Son of a ..... 1951 80" S1 2.0

Ahh yes, the fan ...
I made do with the arm of a bearing puller I had laying about, it fitted just right in to one of the holes and the other end was Mole-gripped to the coolant line running direct in to the engine block. Upon seeing how jiggery it was I didn't expect it to work, but the dang thing finally budged Sure took a while to figure that out though, lots of other attempts in the bin.. Next issue was the supremely awkward positioning of the various hose clamps, juuuust perfectly so it cant be accessed by any tool. How did they manage to get them on in the first place?? All good though, to be expected! What are your impressions of the intercooler? It certainly wasn't as noticeable as when I got the remap, but it gives the vehicle a smoother 'airy' feel and a kick at lower revs, felt mostly accelerating up hills or off at the lights in to 2nd and 3rd. Not so much on the motorway. Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |

using a scanguage fitting an allisport intercooler to my 110 typically made the coolant cooler after a given heavy load (ie long pull up motorway hill when towing)compared to the previous cycle with std intercooler and map. Cheers
