So the word has spread that the pit is full of water , so that means the lake crossing will be 6ft plus deep 😁, so popped under to bung me plugs in and spotted I lost a front bump stop during last weekends field fun , will get one from my local tomorrow and get it fitted 👍🏻

A superb morning at the pit , and we now have several tons of soil to play on , the pics don’t do it justice , but this machine did brilliantly , I can not believe what I achieved this morning , she took an hour to de-mud . I’m blooming knackered and yep I got very stuck and I loved it

so tonight shes had all the oils drained , the front axle was clean , the rear was not , engine and transfer box were as clean as , considering shes only done 800mile ish since the last change , but she has been round the pit for 700 of those , my paperwork tells me i did not change the gearbox oil last year , so that has done about 1600ish miles and yep , that was clean too . the biggest surprise was how much water came out of the bell housing when i removed the wading plugs , i suspect the water must come in via the starter ? i spent an hour cleaning her after the pit and now i`ve been under she`ll get another better wash after the new oils go in . we had a photographer there , so hopefully some good pics soon

Today she’s had a full oils change and all filters , except the new diesel filter was a poor seal , so refitted the old ( 800 ) mile one . Got her out of the garage for a full stripped out pressure was clean , inside and out cos the pit is so corrosive , as there are no more pit visits till next year , she’ll be used now n then to keep her on her toes , will remove the snorkel to give me back a smidge if power

Nice plan to give her a thorough clean and then once or twice on the tarmac to blow the cobwebs away

Well hello everyone , hope you’re all safe and well ? Got to admit , she ain’t moved in two months , but I have this weekend off , so she’s been fired up tonight , keeping the optimiser connected makes a world of difference and tomorrow she’s heading out for a thrash , May try n find some uncultivated / sown fields to rag around in to if poss . Lovely jubbly

snow?? you got snow! all i have seen is a few daft flakes and that was it! my bump stops bit the dust too, on the rear, one was like a crumbled like a cracker. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Hello everyone , hope you’re all well ? ok I admit it , she has not moved in 4 months , BUT we have a lot of snow forecast from Sunday onwards , so the beast will be on commuting duties till the snow has gone , so daily use it will have , will fire her up over the weekend , I can not wait to be honest 👍🏻😎
