Did it appear to be under stress? Rubbed somewhere? ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

I had a similar problem, but after testing the headlamp switch it was getting power and directing it properly. I confirmed that I was also getting power to the fuse box. I had already confirmed that my vehicle had already had the dim dip relay by-passed with a similar looking relay shell that also had power.
Not knowing what either R6CN relay, position below the main fuse box above the transmission tunnel, does, I switched them and the vehicle wouldn't power the starter. So, I then knew what that relay did. My vehicle has three relays (two yellow R6CN,s and one green) below the main fuse box. I then knew that the one in the middle, the one that I swapped to the far left, was bad, since when I switched them it wouldn't power the starter. I removed this middle relay again, after putting them back in their original position, and tested it by placing power on the 86 or 87 prong. Nothing. Found one at the local parts store for $6.99. It worked. Everything works now. Went back to parts store and bought an additional one to have as a spare. Plan to run additional relays to power the headlamp switch to prevent the switch from burning out. |

I have a 2003 110 SW and had similar problems. It also has the headlight adjuster in the center dash.
As others have said there was a pink relay in behind the gauges. I change this and was well again. I have read somewhere (although I might have dreamt it) that this can be bypassed, but I haven't looked into this yet. Good luck with finding the problem |

The pink relay is the heart of the dim-dip system - a long redundant lighting arrangement that makes the headlights glow dimly when the side lights are on and the engine is running.
You can read about it's operation HERE. There's more detail in this thread HERE, including descriptions of various ways to disable it completely.
