Well, finally got some soundproofing in and fitted the MUD dash, head unit and aerial (my goodness that grommet to the engine bay is in an awkward spot!)...

So, having done all this work, I am going to be selling Bertha in June.

It was a very hard decision, believe me, but I’ve had a great six years with her, made some superb memories and I’ll always love these vehicles. Not to mention the excellent community support on sites like this.

I have no doubt that if I can ever swing it with the supervisor (and my bank manager) that I’ll get back into a Defender or Series at some point but just not as a family bus for long road trip holidays!

And now, a month later than planned, she has gone.

Hopefully to a loving home where she will have new adventures and make some cracking memories for her new owner.

This is definitely not goodbye to defender2.net - I will probably keep lurking and one day may even return to the fold... 2005 110 XS - Cairns Blue "Bertha" - Gone, and sorely missed
