Better to be without it, but still quite bad
Is not a good thing have a failed part specially in the brake system In my case when the pump failed dead quite fast (one day or less) They give you an alternative if the pump dead tomorrow or in one week more? Mine just died after being 9 days at the dealer for the 10kkm maintenance. Got it replaced.

That's quite some time for an oil change I would be guessing they were changing quite a few other bits in that amount of time. Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |

It started leaking again at 33000km on the 29th December. I took it it in to the dealer late that afternoon who insisted I book it in immediately because it is a safety concern, this was not the case the first time, I got the vehicle back early on the 31st December with the new improved pump. Hopefully this one will last. |
