You're right. Light is on. Sad

P1402 and P1409.

When I had a 300tdi Disco I removed egr and its ecu. Do You think it should be possible to convert puma engine into an engine without electronics?

I'm sorry for the stupid question.

There is soon to be released a complete EGR replacement blank solution including a software patch for the Puma Tdci. There is an EGR replacement blank available just now but without a software patch meaning that the MIL lamp will still illuminate! Should be available soon Whistle

The new AGR killer kit with the yellow control light turned OFF will be a nice feature.........Starting in about 4 weeks

Hi Brian,

you can post this if you want.

The complete system has been running perfect, but the intercooler had to be modified (the drawing) for a series of ten pieces. The new intercooler is made in southern Germany. So before the new intercoolers are not finished, I am not able to offer the complete kit.

Will come back to you later with some more information……..just have to finish the toolbox inserts in Pro/Engineer

Is this tube/pipe not part of the inlet manifold ? I beleive in black plastic as standard.

Yes, ive been looking deeper and i see what they are doing now Smile Looks a very nice bit of kit they are making to be honest,

I just blanked the EGR at both sides and disconnected the plug but left the valve in place, though their option does look very neat and tidy.

I doubt you would be able to make any modern engine run without electronics, you might be able to remove odd elements - at the expense of something.

I know you dont need to worry about legislation but it certainly wouldnt comply

I dont think (personally) electronics are anything to be "scared of" in fact i think they add value when out in the sticks. Its the same as any vehicle where is life and death - you take the equipment required to resolve the problem...in an engine with electronics you just add some electronic bits, no different to throwing in a gasket etc.

An advantage to electronics is they help you protect the engine before you become deeply screwed! Mike

Simple question for You: what engine do You prefer old 300 tdi (I had one without egr and cat) or new, fully digitalized, "politicaly correct" and "ecological" puma?

I think that "modern engine" is only a fraud!!! Ask Yourself how much engine efficiency did increase since 1990? Ask Yourself for how many days a cat works properly on a new car! Ask Yourself if We really need an EGR to reduce NOx in our car and if NOx pollution is really due to car engine instead of industrial emission!

It's only my opinion, don't be afraid to disagree with me Thumbs Up

Ciao Vinicio
