Dating sites
Having been single for far too long now I figured it is time to at least try and meet someone new. I have been on a couple of sites without any luck, so wondered if anyone could recommend any? I'm not really sure how else to meet people at my age.

Thanks. 2011 110 USW

Get on Tinder, one thing to bear in mind is that quite often it's your approach that is the make or break. 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

You can't approach anyone on Tinder. You can only contact anyone if they "match" with you. 2011 110 USW

If you have a face like a rivet catchers glove ! dont bother with tinder!JOW has the best idea..but i guess you are getting desperate as you are enquiring on a car forum!Perhaps if you give us your profile ...somebody on here must know a lady on the lookout !

Tinder. Shocked That is nothing short of a hookup site pretty much.

The only two I can think of that are remotely any good at all are Match and Muddy Match.
Most of the rest are dodgy, fraudsters, fakes you name it.

It's a common propblem these days, people don't get the chance to socialise much.
Some do, some don't depends on where you live what you do and so on.

As I have heard before for example, you can be lonely in London amongst many millions of people but you only need one.
The same applies to friendship regardless of relationships.

Tricky one!

I met my Mrs on match.com and we’ve been together 8 years almost........so I suggest you avoid match if you want to stay happy 😳

Also, the Mrs and I own a gym and it’s like a dating site in there. Doesn’t take long to see who likes who, who’s chasing, who’s avoiding who etc. So if your not a member already get down your local gym and get hustling. Even if you don’t meet a that special someone’ you’ll socialise and improve your health and fitness. 💪🏼 Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful!

I must admit I’m old (and old-fashioned?) enough to believe it’s still possible to approach someone in a bar or pub with “Hi, I’m x, may I join you?” or “… may I buy you a drink?”. That’s if you can’t dance, of course, and if you can’t you should consider joining salsa classes or whatever - always a surplus of women to practise your moves on.

But much depends on your personality: I’ve two daughters in their twenties, one is naturally bubbly, lively, for example out tonight in a gay bar dressed outrageously in a sexy Halloween costume. Last night they put a guy in a wheelie bin and closed the lid, pushed it outside a krinklie’s door and rung the bell. When the door opened he jumped out: no, I do NOT think it funny (much, heh heh).

The other has had the stuffing knocked out of her a bit - husband walked out on her when their son was nine months old, hasn’t contributed a penny for the next four years - and she obviously isn’t able to get out too much to make new friends. She’s met a few guys through dating sites with no really bad experiences though. Obviously some meets never got past the first evening, but there have been one or two that lasted long enough to be termed a relationship. Again, difference of generation, someone was my “girlfriend” after I’d been out with her a few times; today, you’re not “in a relationship” unless it’s officially posted on Facebook.

Go for it, the only advice I can give is not to bother with a contact who lives too far away. Oh, and a Defender is NOT a babe magnet!

Peter

My current missus is fifteen years my junior and I met her through an ad, but I refuse to reveal in which publication...

Adult Work . com and cracker .com is a great site to get women . Some of them are easily 10 out of 10 first class looking . Just order them out to your house the same way you order a any other takeaway -give them the cash - do the business and then they go away and leave you in perfect peace . Its a great way to get the fun out of women but never have to actually sit and listen to any of their nagging and rubbish that they talk . 2006 DEFENDER 90 TD5 CSW XS
