I'd go with the bas hi flow just because it has cast end tanks so less chance of welds splitting. Alisport say they will fix any intercooler free of charge if they split but it's a pain pulling the front end off your car and sending the intercooler away for a couple of weeks. Ray

Got the Allisport in mine and love it, i find it better that it is not painted, can see the brilliant work thats gone into it! Lifetime warranty as well, been on a year so far no issues.
If you don't have AC its 20 mins to remove, a pain yes but still not that hard to do. Last edited by bankz5152 on 22nd Sep 2017 11:38am. Edited 1 time in total |

I went with BAS Hi-flow as Pete carried out independent test and published results. It seems it was thoroughly thought and designed to be optimum, good enough to sell it to me. James

I had a cheap one in my td5 and TDCI, it lasted 100k miles but it was totally dead and had been welded a few times!
So i splashed out on the latest Allisport lift intercooler and its a damn lovely thing to have! Ironically bought off a member off here My 110 is running very well and is matched with allisport intercooler hoses. After 2 Alisport Intercoolers, each with the welds splitting at 15k. Went for a BAS, so far so good.
The 90 has 30% more power and 40% more torque, but that was the whole point of an uprated Intercooler. Cheers WYL 2015 90 Keeper 2005 R300 Keeper 2019 XC40 Shopping Trolley 2008 110 XS Utility (Friday Build) Gone! |

Are you all finding an on road difference with the updated intercoolers? I'm assuming the majority of people have a remap to go with it.

Please see attached. Rolling Road test of 2 months old standard 90. Then with new air filter, intercooler and exhaust. Then 3rd run with chipping as well! I'd recommend BAS or Alive. Cheers WYL
