Rear End Door Electric Window ?? (freelander inspiration)
ok so i know this is a crazy one but, i want to add a motorised window to the rear end door like on the freelander, so the the dogs can have some more air, and i can beat the heat during summer also.

has anybody done this, can it be done?
i dont mind going crazy on metal work , just wouldnt mind having a good start off idea to work with!

I've never seen it done but that doesn't mean it can't, if you're keen enough. You'll end up building a new door from scratch, though.

The Freelander arrangement was particularly useful Smile Darren

Ditto what he said, especially with the dog guard fitted to the door Thumbs Up

Freelander used a cable system so maybe a good place to start would be to get hold of an old door from a breakers & see what you can scavenge from it?

When we had a freelander 1 with the tailgate window down there was a definite smell of exhaust in the car when driving slowly in town etc so we tended not to have it fully open

Would it be easier to make the smaller rear corner windows open?

Could you do a cat flap conversion from a series motor and fit a drop down or side opening tailgate? You could then drive around with the cat flap open! Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....
