That's a very practical looking back end. Reminds me a bit of Discovery 1/2. Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

Great pictures. Are the rear spring inboard of the chassis rails. I think that’s what will from Lr workshop said but would be good if you can confirm

I must say that I do like most of what I am seeing. There are some things I find a little surprising, but "different" isn't bad and I have no doubt that enough thought, engineering design (as opposed to styling), and testing is being put into this to mena that it will be very good.
I rather hope that the offside door inner catch is a prototype in Supacat's photo below, because it looks a bit of a bodge. I also this it would intrude into the load area.

Looks like it doesn’t it
From the photos of the underneath I hope that the low hanging cable and some of the more exposed bits will be tidied up and some underside protection plates added Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come 2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed! |

Probably for crash regs, might be designed to go down under the passengers on impact and not straight into them. I think the defender 70th v8 was like this

Some form of TPMS is mandatory these days, so I would think so. Personally I would prefer a system that doesn’t have a sensor in the wheel even if that means no live pressure reading on the dash. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

It's deceptive, but from this it doesn't look that inclined but it can't be parallel with the ground given the rear prop angle: Click image to enlarge What's the "tank" arrowed here? Click image to enlarge |
